A special note for students: A great deal of the success that I've enjoyed in my career to date has been because people bet on me early. I like to pay this forward. Send me evidence of extraordinary achievement, ability, or ambition and I'll be happy to assist you on a project or provide unconventional career advice. Career advice will likely round to "figure out how to join a startup in SF in any capacity as soon as possible."

Over the years, I have found the following style to be most efficient:

• I am generally more available outside of business hours. I prefer to schedule calls on mornings/nights/weekends.
• If you want to ask me about one of my areas of expertise, please send your questions in writing rather than trying to schedule a call right away.
• If you want a call, I prefer to get your number and try calling a few times until we connect rather than scheduling up front.
• Please include your phone or WhatsApp number in your message.
• I try my best to respond to everything, but sometimes forget. Please feel free to follow up.
